Bush good friend but I don't endorse his Iraq policy: Dalai | | | Early Times Report LEH, July 27: Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama today said though former US president George W Bush is his good friend, however, he has reservation on his Iraq policy. "Personally I love (George W) Bush but I have reservation on his policy towards Iraq," the Dalai Lama said. The spiritual leader said Bush and he are "good friends" and they share many ideas and views. He was addressing a gathering at a tea party organised by Ladakh Muslim Co-ordination Committee in his honour. Dalai Lama further said as human beings physically, emotionally and mentally we are all one and same. It is peace of mind that we all as humans wants. What ever religion we practice, whichever nation we belongs, one thing we all desire is healthy and peaceful life. Peace of mind can not be achieved through materialistic things, it is something which we have to inculcate in our inner selves. Every religion teaches peace, compassion and harmony. Speaking on the occasion, the president of Anjuman-main-ul Islam Leh Sheikh Saif-ud-Din praised Dalai Lama for his compassion towards entire humanity. |
