RAJOURI, July 27: Senior leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and MLA Darhal Choudhary Zulfikar Ali said that present coalition regime has been forcing people to come to streets for basic amenities like drinking water, power and health facilities.
He said that present regime has failed to all fronts. Addressing series of public meetings at Jamola and Koter anaka, Choudhary Zulfikar said that that instead of addressing woes of the common people, this regime was more particular about befooling people by one or other way. He further regretted that common masses in the state have been struggling with number of problems but the members of the ruling coalition have been using state resources for their personal comforts. Residents of all the regions of state have been struggling to get basic amenities like drinking water, power and ration but the government seems to be non-serious in solving these basic problems, he said. Choudhary Zulfikar further said that National Conference and Congress were two faces of same coin and both the parties were responsible for the hardship being faced by the people. He said that Congress was equally responsible for the prevailing situation because coalition was surviving due to the support of the Congress party. Pointing towards prevailing mess in the state, he said that most of the central sponsored schemes were defunct in the state and developmental works have been stopped without any reason. He added that announcements made by the Chief Minister during the last three and half years remained only on papers. MLA Darhal regretted that residents of Rajouri have been struggling to get basic amenities like power, water and ration. He said that scarcity was ration was a bigger problem in this belt but authorities were apathetic towards solving this human problem.
Pointing towards loot of the government exchequer, he said that deserving people were facing hardship while as those who close to the ruling parties were brazenly looting public money. He stressed that national flagship programme like MGNREGA has become a hub of corruption.
