| PHE employees hold protest in support of demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, July 27: In protest against the non-fulfilment of their demands, PHE Employees/Workers of PHE Division, Kathua held a strong demonstration against the authorities.
Hundreds of employees under the banner of PHE Workers Welfare Association assembled here in the office complex of Executive Engineer, PHE Division, Kathua to lodge their protest. The protesting employees alleged that the PHE authorities have failed to solve workers' long pending demands including release of backlog wages of all the DRW/need base and C.P workers, wages of workers must be disbursed before 5th of every month and regular transfers of the 4th class employees on section to section level instead of Sub Division level, maintaining of seniority list, conduct of DPC against the vacant posts and providing of necessary equipments. Today's protest demonstration was organised under the leadership of Subash Verma. While addressing the protesters, Verma provincial General Secretary of the Association urged the XEn PHE Division Kathua to disburse the all pending wages of workers before Raksha Bandhan and the same should be paid regularly before 5th of every month. Rattan Doshi, senior leader of the Association also addressed the employees. He said that the leadership is fully aware about the problems of the workers and the efforts are being made for the redressal of the same at the earliest. He warned the higher authorities that if the demands of the employees are not conceded within days, the Association will be forced to adopt the agitational path and the authorities concerned will be held responsible for the consequences. |
