| Iftikhar completes NSUI talent hunt in 6 states | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 27: Iftikhar Ahmed, Election Commissioner, All India NSUI Central Election Authority, who was made in-charge of 6 important states which include Karnataka, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, Mumbai, Kerala and Maharashtra for conducting talent hunt for selecting NSUI Returning Officers has conducted talent hunt in these states and selected about 160 NSUI Returning officers.
These selected Returning Officers will be deputed by central Election Authority to conduct NSUI elections in other states during elections process throughout the country, a handout said here today. NSUI Central Election Authority, which has responsibility of conducting NSUI internal organizational elections throughout the country had conducted talent hunt for selecting Returning officers (RO) to conduct elections across the country.
Through this talent hunt, NSUI provided platform to the students and youth of country to work as Returning Officer in NSUI election commission and become part of vision of Rahul Gandhi ,General Secretary AICC and in-charge NSUI and youth congress for transformation of NSUI through internal democracy within the organization and also contribute to the nation building
About 500 NSUI Activists participated in this talent hunt process and among them 160 were selected during interview and these selected Returning officers will be given training about the election process and will be deputed to other states to conducted NSUI organizational election.
SUI through this talent hunt has provided golden opportunity for ordinary students and youth of the country to work in other states during election process as Returning Officer and in addition to conduct election , they will also get chance to interact with the people of different region, culture and language which also help them in understanding diversity in Indian culture
It is pertinent to mention here that Iftikhar Ahmed, who hails from Rajouri District is one among the five Election Commissioners all over the country appointed through talent hunt by Rahul Gandhi for conducting organizational elections in NSUI and first from Jammu and Kashmir to be appointed as Election Commissioner. |
