BJP criticizes coalition for not celebrating Vijay Divas | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 27 : Senior BJP leader Chander Mohan Sharma (Adv.) strongly criticized coalition government of Jammu & Kashmir for not celebrating Vijay Divas yesterday. The day is celebrated throughout the country to commemorate victory of the country and to remember martyrs who laid their lives while defending the boundaries of the country. The intrusion was made by Pakistan into the territory of J&K state i.e. Dras and Kargil. It is shocking that state government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah did not show any concern with the celebration of Vijay Divas. It is known fact that NC always shows is concerned for its constituency i.e. four or five districts of Kashmir valley for rest of the state they have no political state but Congress which is partner in coalition government also does not take pride in victory of Indian forces over Pakistani intruders.About 72 jawans belonging to J&K state were killed while fighting against the enemy in most difficult terrain and adverse environments. Sharma reminded Kashmir leadership that out of these 72 jawans, 7 were Kashmiri Muslims from Kashmir valley. Huge losses were suffered by patriotic people of Kargil due to Pakistani shelling during the war. Inspite of all sufferings they take pride in celebrating Vijay Divas but why Kashmir leaders feel a shamed in observing July 26 officially a day of victory for the people of the state also.Chander Mohan Sharma questioned Congress leadership as why they remain silent spectator while state government always sympathies with the terrorist who have gone to Pakistan to undergo on training against Indian people. Why their conscious does not prick them when they participate in so-called martyrs day observed on July 13 where Dogra Forces are abused by Kashmir leaders.Sharma said that Congress leadership owes and explanation to the patriotic Jammuites they why J&K Government does not celebrate Vijay Divas. How can they face the family members of 24 jawans from Jammu who made sacrifices in Kargil war for the victory of the country. |
