| KP organisations review preparations for Balidan Divas | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 29: A representative meeting of all the Kashmiri Pandit organi sations of Delhi NCR was held at J N Kaul Memorial Hall, KECSS, Pamposh Enclave G.K -I, New Delhi to review the preparedness for the observance of Balidan Divas on September 14, 2012.
The meeting began with the observance of two minutes silence in memory of above 100 pilgrims who lost their lives while performing Amarnath yatra.
Dr. Romesh Raina, General Secretary AIKS outlined the objective of holding the meeting which was to strengthen the sentiment of unity of Kashmiri Pandit Organisations active in Delhi NCR. He impressed upon the representatives of all the Organisations about the need of sending a powerful message on September 14, which he described as the symbol of exodus.
He added that this year's programme must be creative, innovative and different from the programmes that have been held so for.
Dr Romesh Raina later requested Ashutosh Taploo of Tika Lal Taploo Foundation to screen the documentary on Tikal Lal Taploo.
The screening of this documentary made the atmosphere gloomy as it touched the life and contribution of Tikal Lal Taploo.
On the occasion, it was agreed upon that an organising committee be constituted for the execution of this programme. |
