| AJKMPJ holds dharna in support of Anna's fast | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 29: A large number of citizens from Jammu and Vijaypur today assembled out side Jammu Press Club under the banner of All J&K Movement for Peace & Justice (AJKMPJ) to register their solidarity towards Anna Hazare in shape of a peaceful dharna protest in order to support his fast at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. Demanding a powerful "Jan Lok Pal Bill" to curb the prevailing corruption at top political and administrative levels which is responsible for unlimited miseries of a common Indian, the Members of the Movement holding placards raised slogans against the UPA Government.
While addressing the citizens, members of the movement criticized the adamant attitude of Congress led UPA government at centre for its non seriousness towards the eradication of "corruption" and its unwillingness to pass a powerful Jan Lok Pal Bill having jurisdiction over the working of PM, Judiciary, CBI and employees of C&D grades. It is quite shameful that all main political parties including the UPA components at centre instead of a serious approach towards eradication of corruption seem united to sabotage the movement initiated by Anna Hazare and his team, they added. |
