| Dhauladhar Army Pre Primary School organises Van Mahotsav | | | early times report
udhampur, July 30 : With the environmental inspirational theme of "Plant a Tree: Get Air for Free"; the Infantry Brigade at Garhi Cantonment organized a tree plantation ceremony at Dhauladhar Army Pre Primary School.
More than 250 Tiny Tots and school staff planted a variety of ornamental and fruit bearing plants in the school campus.
The Brigade Commander and the brigade staff were also in attendance. Addressing the gathering, Brigadier V Rajamani D highlighted the emerging concerns on global warming and the need for awakening of mankind towards environmental protection and preservation of nature.
He further said that there could not have been a nobler act at the onset of monsoons than planting a tree to reciprocate the mother nature. He also stated that the school was infact the ideal platform to promote the spirit of "Go Green". |
