| JKAACL holds Urdu Naatiya Mushaira | | | early times report
srinagar, July 30 : Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organised an Urdu Naatiya Mushaira where poets from various parts of the valley rendered 'naat', poetry in praise of Prophet Muhammad here today. Noted poet, Muzaffar Iraj presided over the mushaira while poets Hamdam Kash-miri and Rafiq Raaz also attended the function.
In his address, Muzaffar Iraj appreciated the Cultural Academy for organising the Mus-haira and said that such events should be held on regular basis.
Commenting on the event, secretary JKAACL, Khalid Bashir Ahmad said the Academy was duty bound to hold such events. He also said that organising Mushairas was part and parcel of JKAACL's routine activities and would continue to remain so.

Dr Shafaq Sopori, Shoaib Rizvi, Rukhsana Jabeen, Dr Nazir Azad, Ashraf Adil, Dr. Syed Raza, Sajad Hussain, Imdad Saqi, Parveen Raja, Gazanfar Ali Shahbaz, Dr Ashraf Asari, Zahid Mukhtar, Roaf Rahat, Ather Bashir, Waheed Musafir and Nighat Nazar. |
