Locals reiterate demand for constitution of Machail Matta Shrine Board

Kishtwar, July 30 : People of Padder Tehsil of Kishtwar district who assembled in large number at Gulabgarh Padder to attended the public meeting organized by District Administration Kishtwar headed by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Saleem Mohammad Chowdhary.
During the course of the meeting, beside developmental and public related issues, the demand for constitution of Machail Matta Shrine Board on the pattern of Vashu Devi Shrine Board starts gaining movement as the people of Padder unanimously stress up on the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to convey the public massage to the government to constitute the Shrine Board headed by the Governor of the state as its Chairman. The people said that due to increase in number of pilgrims every year, the administration as well as the local inhabitants faces the problem of shortage of infrastructure both at Kishtwar as well as at Padder. The people demanded for initiating immediate steps for restoration of construction work on Gulabgard-Machail road which is presently linger on since last one year due to dispute between the contractor and PMGSY department.
DDC Kishtwar after giving patience hearing to the public demands assured the people that he will take up the matters with the higher ups for establishment of Machail Matta Shrine Board. He directed his subordinates to work with zeal and zest for the betterment of the people. He also issued on spot directions to the concerned officers to clear the bottlenecks in shortest possible time so that the developmental targets could be achieved on time.
Among those who attended the public meeting include CMO Kishtwar Dr, Ajay Gupta, CEO Kishtwar Lok Nath Batt, Xen PHE Division Kishtwar Abdul Wahid Zarger, XEN R & B and others.
Meanwhile Randeep Thakur former Vice President NSUI in his press statement demanded reduction in the fare of helicopter service of Machail yatra on the pattern of Shri Amarnath ji yatra. Thakur requested the district administration to cancel the present tender and instated allot the tender to those agency who charges less helicopter fare to pilgrims of Machail Matta. He appealed the state government to reduce the fare of helicopter service for Machail Mata yatra with immediate effect.
