JKDF holds signature campaign in support of unemployment allowance | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 30: Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) youth wing today held a signature campaign at Janipur main stop here today. The signature campaign was led by Munish Khajuria (District Youth President) and Naveen Sharma (District Secretary) in presence of Anil Gupta, Chairman JKDF, besides other senior leaders of the party. The Signature Campaign started under the chanting of pro-demand slogans by youths to express their resentment with the policies of Government. Earlier today hundreds of activists of JKDF and youths gathered near Janipura, main stop to mark their signatures in favour of their demands for unemployment allowance of Rs 2000 per month till absorption into the jobs. Anil Gupta Chairman JKDF said, "Till now we have obtained more than 7000 signatures of youth since the launch of this signature campaign which is getting whole hearted support of the people. Our agitation will be continued till the Government take steps to announce unemployment allowance. We are committed to raise the issues which are in the interests of public and serve to achieve aims and objectives to uplift the living standard of common masses with equal opportunities to grow and prosper. The present signature campaign is a part of our endeavor to highlight the burning issue of unemployment which is a major concern for our younger generation," Munish Khajuria, District Youth President said, "We will be constrained to intensify our agitation with the active support of youth and student community if our genuine demands are not accepted by the Government." We demand immediate announcement of cash allowance for unemployed youth till they are absorbed into the jobs" |
