| DC Kishtwar orders probe against ZEO Marwah | | Hooliganism inside PDD office | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, July 30 : Taking strong note of misconduct and hooliganism by Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Marwah Ghulam Qadir Beg and his associates inside the office complex of SE PDD Kishtwar Circle on July 27, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Saleem Mohammad Chowdhary today ordered probe against the unauthorized absence of ZEO Marwah from his duty. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar while interacting with the senior officials of PDD and its employees inside his office chamber informed the agitating employees that he had directed Chief Education Officer Kishtwar LN Batt for conducting an inquiry about the erring officer who not only created uproar inside the PDD Office Kishtwar, but also manhandled the JE and instigated the crowd threatening the life of the employees of the department. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar assured the visiting PDD employees that he will act tough against the culprits involved in the incident. He directed the SSP Kishtwar on telephone to take stern action against the accused as warranted under law. He urged up on the agitating employees not to carry on with their call of black out, however the employees remained firm on their stand and said that their future course of action is totally depend upon the police action against the culprits.They also brought the matter of huge theft of power going on in the area into the notice of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar and informed him that as per the directions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the department should have act tough against power theft, beside need to achieve 100% installation of electronic meters both at domestic as at commercialized areas. They said that as and when the department tries to take initiate action against the violators, some criminal elements present in the area create uproar and threaten the employees. |
