RPC resents illegal use of 'Press' label | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 31: Raising voice against the misuse of 'Press' label on the vehicles by the persons who are not associated with the profession of journalism, Rajouri Press Council (RPC) has demanded police action against those who are using the stickers and logos of media organisations with impunity. In a meeting of the council chaired by its president, Avinash Jasyal, all the members raised the voice against the misuse of Press label. The meeting was attended by scribes from all over the district where they put forth their views on this issue and seek strict police action against the defaulters. The meeting was attended by its Legal Advisor Tazeem Dar, Patron Virendar Malhotra, Chief Advisor Nasir Malik and Gagan Kohli, Vice President Emroz Suri, General Secretary Jamsheed Malik, Secretary Amish Malhotra, Joint Secretary Sumit Bhargav, Administration Secretary Arif Qureshi, Cashier Anil Bhardwaj were present on the occasion. In this meeting all scribes put forth their views and expressed their resentment towards use of 'Press' label by common people on their vehicles in large scale. They stated that a large number of people use the Press stickers to show off their superiority but concerned authorities and police fail to check it. Council also sought intervention of police in this issue so that illegal use of Press logo on vehicles can be checked and dignity of Press fraternity is maintained. Addressing this meeting Council President Avinash Jasyal said that they demand district administration to strictly ban use of Press label by the non-associated press people. Legal Advisor of council, Tazeem Dar presented same view and demanded attentive approach by police to check the open use of Press label by illegitimate persons. |
