| TIC organises debate on environmental protection | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, July 31: Tehsil Information Center (TIC), Ramnagar organised a debate competition on the Topic " Environmental Protection " here today at Government Middle School, Kaitha in Kulwanta zone of Ramnagar.
As many as 10 students participated in the competition and spoke on the topic.
The participants expressed serious concern over the degrading environment and stressed for its protection for the survival of the human being.
Principal of the host school, Jugal Kishore was the chief guest on the occasion.
Master Naresh Kumar of 6thClass was adjudged best speaker and given the first prize while Reva Devi of 7th Class and Jagdev Kumar of 6th class stood 2nd and 3rd respectively. Besides consolation prizes were also given to Tara Singh of 8th class and Faquir Ahmed of 6th class.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the host school appreciated the efforts of Information Department to hold such competitions in the far off schools.
He said that such type of contests would definitely provide a platform to students to exhibit their talent and canalize the same in right direction. He urged the department to organize more such programmes in far off areas.
Suraj Singh, Rajinder Kumar and Krishan Lal acted as judges during the contest, besides alarge number of people of the area and students were present on the occasion. |
