CB produces challan against fraudsters

Jammu, July 31: Crime Branch Jammu have produced challan in Case FIR No.2/2009 u/s 420, 120-B RPC against the fraudsters namely Kamal Singh Bhau S/o Majra Singh R/o Dhiaran, Jammu, Manohar Lal S/o Thoru Ram R/o Chann Tanda, Hiranagar and Mohd. Anwar S/o Ahmed Din R/o Narwal Pain H.No-50 near Airport Road Satwari Jammu before Court of CJM Jammu today on 31.07.2012.
Briefly facts of the case are that a written complaint was lodged with SSP Crime Branch, Jammu by one Dev Raj S/o Attar Singh R/o Gayal Bhand Tehsil Hiranagar Distt. Kathua against the accused persons alleging therein that accused Manohar Lal came across and told him that Kamal Singh who was a retired Army Naib Subedar had links/ contacts with secretariat employees and was providing Govt. Jobs to the people as class IV employees. On his motivation/instigation, he paid Rs. 1.5 lac whereas another person namely Mohinder Kumar S/o Sansar Chand R/o Hira Nagar paid Rs. 90,000/- to the accused Kamal Singh on 05.01.2009 at Bus Stand Jammu in presence of accused Manohar Lal for getting Govt. Jobs for their wards as class IV employees. After taking the total amount of Rs. 2.40 lacs, said Kamal Singh asked both the complainant and Mohinder Kumar to collect the appointment orders next day, which he never gave and started avoiding them on one pretext or the other. Finally the complainant came to know that accused Kamal Singh was associated with some other accused persons namely Monohar Lal, Darshan Lal , Jasbir Singh and Mohd. Anwar who had been duping the innocent people under false assurances of providing jobs to them.
On the basis of this complaint, a formal case was registered. During the course of investigation, the statements of Dev Raj (Complainant) and Mohinder Kumar S/o Sansar Chand R/o Hiranagar as well as other aspirants were recorded. Accused Kamal Singh and his other associates were arrested and questioned/interrogated in the case. On the disclosure of accused Kamal Singh the entire amount of Rs. 2.40 Lacs paid to him by the complainant was recovered/seized from his house. Besides, some registers including original school leaving certificates, state subject certificate of one Anchal Kumar, Photostat copies of certificates of other aspirants and hand written list of candidates were also recovered, seized and accordingly got comparisoned through FSL which confirmed the similarity in both the questioned as well as the specimen writings. During investigation, no cogent evidence came up against Jasbir Singh and Darshan Lal, who were also named by the complainant to be associates of the accused persons, they were, as such, given the benefit of Section 169 Cr.PC.
On the basis of oral as well as documentary evidence collected during the investigation, the offences u/s 420, 120-B RPC were fully established against accused persons namely Kamal Singh Bhau, Manohar Lal and Mohd. Anwar who have been challaned in the Court of law for judicial determination.
