| Two minor girls washed away in flash floods | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Aug 1: Two minor girls were washed away in flash floods near Chak Padanoo village in Udhampur district today.
According to reports, the girls identified as Anchal, 7, and Prachi, 5, both daughters of Sudesh Kumar Sharma had gone to nearby market at Chopra Shop.
While returning to home, the girls got trapped in the middle of the stream while crossing it near Chak Padanoo village and got washed away.
Locals, however, tried to rescue them but in vain.
Later, the police fished out the bodies from river and handed them over to family members after conducting autopsy at District hospital Udhampur.
Police have registered case in this regard.
Meanwhile, in an another incident, a girl died under mysterious circumstances in
Mand area near Udhampur after she consumed some poisonous substance.
She was identified as 15 years old Sunita Devi daughter of Shankar Singh resident of Mand. |
