| Minor girl raped, accused arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
BHADERWAH, Aug 1: A minor girl was raped allegedly by her uncle in village Shankoja under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bhaderwah.
According to police, a girl identified as Payal (name changed) age 14 yrs had gone with her cattle to graze them in the jungle (forest), when a person identified as Sudesh Kumar son of Lekh Raj of Shankoja finding her alone, overpowered and committed rape on her, police said.
It added that after the heinous crime accused fled from the spot.
Later victim came to home in semiconscious condition, where she narrated the whole episode with her parents, who immediately informed the police.
An FIR in this connection has been registered in P/S Bhaderwah u/s FIR No. 376/364 RPC vide No/ 103/12. The accused has been arrested and girl was sent for medical check-up and further report awaited. |
