| JKDF celebrates Rakhi with SOS children | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 2 : Chairman JKDF Anil Gupta today celebrated Raksha Bandhan with children of SOS Village, Gole Gujral, Jammu. SOS is a country vide voluntary organization which works for children who are orphaned, abandoned or whose families are unable to care for children. On the occasion the SOS children tied rakhis on the wrist of Anil Gupta, Chairman JKDF. While greeting the children of SOS Village Anil Gupta said, "On this occasion of Raksha Bandhan, I extend my greetings and good wishes to all Children, Staff and management of SOS which is doing yeoman service to society by helping these children."
"May the spirit of this festival strengthen fraternal feelings in our society, and remind us of the importance of unity and harmony, as we strive collectively for the well-being of our people," he said.
On the occasion Anil Gupta interacted with all SOS children and distributed sweets among them. Anil Gupta assured the management of SOS that every possible help shall be extended for the noble cause of SOS organization. He also promised to install high mask light in the premises of SOS village. Village Director Prasanjeet Das and Assistant Village Director Brijesh Vikram Singh thanked Anil Gupta for his gesture and assurances of help for the orphaned children. Senior JKDF activist Prashant Puri was also present on the occasion. |
