APSCC to organize Ethnic Sikh Conference | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 2 : All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) is going to organize an Ethnic Sikh Conference on 17th and 18th August 2012 at Srinagar. The conference will be attended by all the mainstream Sikh leaders from all over India. APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said "All national leaders have given their consent for attending the first National level Sikh meet to be held at Kashmir." APSCC Chairman said that this conference will be a new platform for entire Sikh Community to discuss chock-a-block crises faced by entire Sikh population since the partition of India and Pakistan. Broader prospects of conference will be focus on resolving the issues of J&K Sikhs which is directly related to peace process among India and Pakistan and strengthen economical and social ties among two sister nations.People from all faiths have expressed their happiness for organizing such non-political Sikh conference in Kashmir Valley. The registration for conference has started with tremendous response. It has also been decided that a white paper on the issue of J&K Sikhs will be published and sent to the Prime Minister of India and to Prime Minister of Pakistan Administrated Kashmir.Although the Sikh Community of J&K has taken up their issues several times with the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh , with Omar Abdullah Chief Minister of J&K and with several other minister at State and National level but they turned blind eyes towards the Sikh of J&K under Kashmir technicalities. |
