| Gujjar Mahasabha condemns desecration of Shiva Temple | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 2: Condemning the discretion of Shiva temple in village Ari in Mendhar Tehsil of Poonch district, the Gujjar Mahasabha said today that it is a matter of great shock that some miscreants dared to desecrate a religious place. Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, State President, Akhil Bharatiya Gujjar Maha Sabha said that the miscreants commit such types of work to instigate communal hatred among the peace loving communities in Mendhar.
He said that the Poonch District is an example of communal harmony in the past where Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs have great respect for each other's religion.
Poswal said that the incident is the handiwork of a few miscreants who are bent upon to create such type of hatred among different communities adding that they should be taken to task harshly and put behind the bars immediately. He said all the prominent members of the civil society of Mendhar needs to come forward to counter such an attempt on the part of anti-nationals to disturb the peaceful atmosphere. |
