Pooonch, Aug 2. Raksha Bandhan Festival was today celebrated at Budha Amarnath Mandi amidst big pomp and show in which nearly 40,000 devotees from all over the country visited the shrine to mark the culmination of Amarnath yatra. There was a complete hustle and bustle in Mandi right from the start of the day as there was a heavy rush of pilgrims on the occasion of Sharavan Purnima.
The devotes were seen heaving bath at famous Pulasta river Mandi from early morning.
The lackluster attitude of District administration on final day of shravan poornima was clearly visible as top bosses visited the shrine during afternoon hours only.
There was complete chaos in Mandi as Traffic management was totally turned failure and this lead to lot of inconvenience to yatris. Traffic Police failure to manage the traffic raised many question mark on smooth traffic management.
One more surprising factor, which remained much talked about is that no Political personalities of Poonch bothered to visit Amarnath .
The mela known as Mela Swami Budhha Amarnath was attended by local and outside devotees from all parts of the country and including this day of sharvan poornima since the start of yatra, nearly 70,000 devotes have had the darshan of holy shiv lingham.
Amit Nadar, a student from jaipur, who came all along the way in his car to attended the mela, while talking to Early Times accidentally in a traffic jam. said, "I was surprised to see inefficient traffic system enroute this shrine and on this occasion and I pray to almighty to shower his blessings on the people of whole India irrespective of any caste, colour and creed'" On the successful completion of the Yatra, Nishu Gupta President VHP, said " heavy rush of devotes was seen this year in the Yatra and it broke all the past records.
The maximum participation of the people was due to participation of Swami Vishwat manand Saraswati who had tremendous followers in India." The outside devotes were all praise for the people of Poonch as they said that they have received a huge love form the people of Poonch during the yatra period. |
