| Minor drowns in canal at Trikuta Nagar | | | early times report
Jammu, Aug 2: A minor girl was drowned in a canal here in Trikuata Nagar area today, police said. Pol8ice sources said that one minor identified namely as Geeta Dewi (13) daughter of Bisu of Billaspur while taking bath in Canal at Trikuta Nagar was washed away. After the reports drowning, police launched search operation and the concerned department i.e. Irrigation department was asked to reduce the flow of water in canal. After hectic search, police managed to recover the body of the girl from Sarore of Samba. The body was later taken to the GMC hospital for postmortem. A case in this connection has been registered by police, police said.
