| Eight gamblers arrested with 'stake' money | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 2: Kathua Police arrested eight gamblers while huge stake money and playing cards were seized from the spot, police said.
Spokesperson with Sr Superintendent of Police Kathua said, "on a tip off police conducted a raid at village Chack Dessa Singh, Kathua and arrested eight gamblers.
The arrested have been identified as Surinder Kumar @ Tinna S/O Gian Chand R/O Chack Drab Khan, Karan Kumar @ Gorkha S/O Kanshi Ram R/O Chack Dessa Singh, Rakesh Kumar S/O Madan Lal R/O Chack Drab Khan, Bhola Ram S/O Babu Ram R/O Changran, Sinda S/O Dev Raj R/O Chack Drab Khan, Rakesh Kumar S/O Bishan Dass R/O Changran, Surinder Kumar S/O Sham Lal R/O Chack Drab Khan and Kishori Lal S/O Sardari lal R/O Chack Drab Khan. "Police recovered Rs. 3150/- , a playing card and candles from the tikhri and from their personal search police recovered Rs. 2000/- Later on the accused personnel released on personal bond, police said. |
