| Bovine smuggling bid foiled, one arrested | | | early times report
Jammu, Aug 2: Ramban Police foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued four bovine animals with the arrest of the bovine smuggler during checking at Peera, Chanderkote here today. Police said that following information about transportation of bovine animals towards Kashmir Valley, SHO Chanderkote, Inspector Rakesh Gupta along with Police party laid a naka at Peera, NHW-1A under the supervision of Anil Magotra, SP Ramban and Sanjev Khajuria Dy. SP DAR Ramban.
"During checking, naka party intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing Regd No. JK19/0920 was illegally transporting 04 bovine animals towards Kashmir Valley, he said. "The driver of Tata Mobile identified as Mohd Abass, S/o Mohd Shafi Bakarwal, R/o Chandrog Distt. Ramban has been arrested and Vehicle along with bovines has been seized. In this connection a Case FIR No. 44/2012, U/S 188 RPC, has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote. |
