| BKOA demands fixation of revised rates Bricks for 2012 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 3: Brick Kiln Owners Association (BKOA) in its detailed break up of the cost of input for the manufacturing of Bricks today demanded from the concerned authorities for fixing revised rates of Bricks for the year 2012.
In a media interaction here today, the office bearers BKOA said, "There is a steep hike in the price of coal, semi skilled labour and other materials used in the manufacturing of Bricks which is affected the cost the final product.'
"This will not be out of place to mention that the government fee been enhanced many folds and in this regard J&K Brick Kiln Owner Association also had approached Chief Minister who in return has assured us that matter will be solved soon, the speakers said.
They also mentioned that Kashmir Brick Kiln Owner's had received the order for Rs. 15, 500/- for Three thousand at Kiln site vide order No LRS-BK302 but we still are awaiting for orders.
"The delegation of association has approached Divisional Commissioner, Jammu for the same. Besides this members of association also had meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Jammu, also nothing concrete has been done in this direction, they lamented.
In the end speakers urged the Govt. to look into genuine demands of the Brick Industry at the earliest and save the Brick Kiln Industry from closer which is the back bone of all development works.
Jugal Mahajan, Prabhu Dayal Gupta, Jagjit Singh Jagga, Nasib Singh, Swartar Sharma and others also were present in this media meeting. |
