| PDP organizes signature campaign to support 'Anna Hazare' | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 3: Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party today organized a signature campaign to support Anna Hazare in his movement started to pressurise the government to enact the Jan Lokpal Bill to end the corruption in system.
The said campaign was organized under the leadership of PDP leaders namely Vikram Singh, Girish Sharma, Pankaj Gupta, Vikrant Singh, Sachin Sharma, Rajat Gupta and Chaman Angral .
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Singh said, "People virtually from every walk of life are coming here to participate in the campaign. Enough is enough, the public has realized that it's now high time when people from all spheres should come on a common platform to wage a war against corruption."
"We received about 5000 to 6000 signatures from all sectors -students, professionals, senior citizens, he added.
Girish Sharma while motivating the visitors said, "We don't know how long it will take to weed out corruption from the country, but the best part of the signature campaign is that we are supporting an initiative undertaken by veteran Gandhian who endeavoured first step to fight corruption." .
The social activist and aged right activist is observing fast unto death for the betterment of our country and it becomes moral responsibility to support him in his campaign to get a better society, he added.
Pankaj Gupta and Sachin Sharma also spoke on occasion and informed that Party shall launch similar programmes in various parts of the city for bringing the public on a common platform to fight corruption
