Bhalla inaugurates GP School | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 4 : Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla today called on the teacher fraternity to work with dedication to provide quality education to the children and also imbibe moral values in them to make good citizens."Our children have a good talent but there is need to channelize it in a proper way so that they can excel and compete at All India level competitions" the Minister said while addressing a large gathering after inaugurating newly established SSA sponsored Government Primary School at Kokrian Kothey in Old Satwari block, here today. Terming education as an important sector, the, Minister said that the Government has prioritized to expand the access of education to every nook and corner with a special thrust on better infrastructure and sufficient staff . He appealed the people to send their wards to Government schools as the these institutions have highly qualified and capable staff. Bhalla said that the coalition Government was making all out efforts to provide all basic amenities like road network, education, medicare, power and water supply to the people especially living in rural areas of the State. He said that the Government was keen to provide adequate infrastructure to rural pockets at par with urban pockets. The Minister said for this purpose the State and Centre Governments have launched a number of schemes to uplift the living standard of the people of rural areas. |
