Rather cautions people against machinations of opposition | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 4: Underscoring significance of Irrigation in boosting agriculture production, the Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather today announced to revive once famous Arzan Garzan Dam at a cost of Rs 25 crore. The work on the Dam will be started in November this and will go a long way in bringing green revolution in the drought prone areas of Chrawni, Banhar, Zagipora, Dardpora and Malpora. Addressing a public gathering at Chrawni village in Chrar-i-Sharief constituency, Rather also assured to revive Malpora Dam adding that DPR costing above Rs 50 crore has been prepared for the purpose. This Dam will benefit farmers of Sarai, Wadipora, Hayatpora villages also by way of providing adequate irrigate water facility. Rather also announced upgradation of Allopathic Dispensary Chrawni to Primary Health Centre level adding that work on construction of PHC building shall be started shortly. He also announced to construct building for High School, Chrawni during the current year adding that a modern sports field will be constructed in the village providedsuitable land is identified for it. Rather said that a massive road net work has been constructed in nook and corner of the Chrar-i-Shriwef constituency which has totally revolutionized its socio-economic transformation. He also announced macada mization of Zaipora-Darpora road besides construction of Chrawni to Tilsara road.
