| Gupta tours border areas; inaugurates lanes, drains | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Aug 4: Subash Gupta, Member of Legislative Council (MLC) today conducted an extensive tour of Bathal Chack area of his home constituency and took stock of ongoing development works. During the day long tour, Gupta visited Bathal Chack in Tehsil Hiranagar and listened to the problems of the people. The people of Bathal Chack projected various demands which mostly related to up-gradation of power infrastructre , construction of road from Bathal Chack to Chappaki, electric poles, High Mast Light, deep Hand pump and lack of amenities.
Responding to the demands, Gupta said that the coalition government was committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of the state especially living in rural and far off pockets. Later, Gupta visited Tara Nagar and inaugurated Lanes and drains constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.50 lakhs. The people of Taranagar area apprised the MLC about their demands and grievances related to repair of damage lane and drain, street lights, separate electric transformer for the ward NO.
