| Under construction drain cause of concern for local people | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Aug 4: Under construction Roads and drains in Kamalpora village of Cherhar on the outskirt of Kishtwar town has become nuisance for few people in the village as it threatens their residential complex.
Roads and Buildings department which started construction of said drain in the village all along the main road for the benefits of the general public of the area, but left its construction half way for the reason best known to them. Now due to overnight heavy rain in the area which still continues after intermediate period creates night havoc for some people since the rain water threaten their residential houses.
Even though one Mohammad Khalil Kamal informed officials about the problem faced by them, but no one turn at the site to listen the plight of the effected family who spend whole night in bringing the water out of the drain with the help of the buckets. Khalil said that at the time of digging of drain trench, he shows his concern over the threat to his residential complex.
He said that concerned Junior Engineer at that time assured him that they will finish the construction work within few days.
He said that it was now more than one month since the department left the construction of drain in mid way.
He said that he had never seen the concerned JE at site of construction after he promised completion of work in a time bound manner.
He said that though he had sent legal notice to the department, but said that even than the officials of the department are in no mood to listen his plight. |
