Jammu, Aug 4: The youth are abuzz with activities as 'Friendship Day' offers them opportunity to express love and affection towards their best friends. But, this time the conventional methods of celebrating friendship has been replaced by the Digital Media. The youth have switched over to social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter to impress their best friends. The new friendship slogan 'Jo Tera Hai Woh Mera' is fast catching up with youths replacing the old one 'Har Ek Friend Zaroori Hota Hai'. Many companies are also fuelling the passion of friendship. The latest buzz is "Airtel Digital Friendship Band". So far thousands of youth have used this application on Facebook. The youth of Jammu and Kashmir was also taking keen interest in it. The students of Jammu University and differentcity colleges are busy in extending their friendship chain on digital friendship band. All they have to do is to tag this punchline with their friends. In this way, the company is targeting the biggest friendship band. Throughout the world, a Friendship Band/Friendship Bracelet holds a special importance in the lives of friends. A one-of-its-kind record, Bharti Airtel attempting to create the World's Biggest Live Digital Friendship Band. As new tags are added, the Friendship Band continues to grow each day. The final size of the Digital Friendship Band will be determined by the total number of people tagged during the activity. The measure of the activity comes from the total number of friends tagged throughout its duration. Mukesh Kumar, a student of Jammu University while commenting on Friendship Band says, "The modern era is tech savvy. Everyone wants to reach his friends within seconds so the yout have switched over to Digital Media. We are really enjoying commenting over Social Networking sites and subsequent conter comments."
