| JKRDS receives Madr-e-Meharban award | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 5: An Udhampur based voluntary organisation J&K Rural Development Society (JKRDS) has received Madr-e-Meharban award for its contribution in the field of social work.
The organisation got the award for the fourth time.
Addressing a press conference here today, President Udhampur unit of JKRDS Sat Paul Sharma said that Mubark Gul presented the award to JKRDS, Udhampur for its outstanding contribution for the year 2012 at Srinagar.
He added Gul applauded the noble efforts of Udhampur wing for development of sports and cultural activities in the district and its selfless work at the grass root level on critical issues of environmental degradation, generating mass awareness on pollution-related issues, mobilizing local communities in sustained high-pitched campaigns, engaging in legal activism. |
