| 171 profitable units set up under SRY in Budgam | | | Anantnag, February 05
Under Saw Rozgar Yojana (SRY) 220 cases regarding setting up of dairy, sheep and rural handicrafts units have been sanctioned in Budgam district for the current fiscal. Of this, 171 profitable units stand established till date. For this purpose, the financial institutions extended loans to the tune of Rs 1.10 crore and the government provided a subsidy of Rs 60.50 lakh to the beneficiaries.
This was informed at a meeting of officers of Rural Development department chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner Budgam here today held to review the achievements registered under this sector in the district.
It was informed that 31 Self Help Groups of sozni, embroidery shawl and carpet weaving have been formed in the district and subsidy of Rs 17 lakh and loan of Rs 33 lakh have been provided to the beneficiaries.
