Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha holds meet | | | early times report Jammu, Aug 6 : A meeting of Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha was held today in the premises of Bhagwan Parshu ram Ji temple at Purkhu under the Chairmanship of Vijaya Sharma. 135 members of the Community participated in the meeting. After 3 hours long discussion, the participants unanimously adopted 2 resolutions which are as under: The Govt. of India, Govt. of J&K and all political parties were impressed upon to takes steps to put an end to the caste based reservation and adopt a policy of reservation for the economically weaker sections if at all this policy is to be continue. It was made clear that not only Brahmins but Rajputs, Khatris, Mahajans, Jats and at such other sects of Hindu Community are worst suffers of the ongoing reservation policy as such all the sufferer communities should rise up against the caste based reservation policy. It was also resolved that the Indian traditional dresses should be maintained regarding the dresses particularly in females and the western wears should be discarded and peace and harmony should be maintained everywhere. Surinder Sharma and Jaganath Sharma, members of the Election Committee, gave a brief regarding the ongoing election process for the post of office bearers of the Sabha. With this the meeting culminated with the vote of thanks by the President of the Committee of Bhagwan Parshuram Ji Temple. |
