| Refresher Course in languages commences at ASC, JU | | | early times report
Jammu, Aug 6 : A three week refresher course in Modern Indian Languages (MIL) commenced here at Academic Staff College, University of Jammu. The course which is being attended by University and College Teachers from J&K , Punjab and Assam was formally inaugurated by Prof. Rakesh Mishra, Dean of Arts in the Dept of Hindi in the esteemed presence of Prof Neelam Saraf, Dean Academic Affairs and Director, Academic Staff College. Teachers belonging to Languages- English, Hindi, Urdu and Sanskrit shall be given exposure to the latest trends in their respective area of expertise as well as intra- language orientation. The Course is being held under the aegis of UGC .Earlier the guests and participants were welcomed by Prof Parmeshwari Sharma, Head, Dept of Hindi who shall also be the course co-ordinator for the Refresher Course. Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included Prof. Satnam Kour, Head of English, Prof Parminder Kaur, Prof O. P Dwivedi, Ranjeet Kalra, Dr Rajni. |
