PIL seeking prosecution of bureaucrats involved in corruption cases | DB directs Com SVO to file latest status report | | early time sreport Jammu, Aug 6 (JNF): In the much publicized Public Interest Litigation seeking prosecution of Senior IAS/IFS/KAS Officers against whom the State Vigilance Organization has sought sanction from the Govt of Jammu & Kashmir and Govt of India, A Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Hasnain Massodi today directed Senior Additional Advocate General Gagan Basotra appearing for the state to file fresh latest status report indicating the date of registration of cases against the officials referred in the earlier status report, the date on which the investigation was completed and the date when the matter was referred to the competent authority for according sanction. Division Bench made it clear that the latest status report shall be submitted by the Commissioner of Vigilance J&K. Division Bench after hearing Adv SS Ahmed appearing for the PIL whereas ASGI KK Pangotra for the Union of India and Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra for the state observed that KK Pangotra stated that copy of the PIL and order dated June 15, 2012 has already been sent to Secretary to Ministry of Home Affairs, Union of India New-Delhi to have parawise reply of the PIL. He further submitted that till date he has not received any information from the concerned dept and prayed that he may be granted another one week's time to file the complete status report which was granted by the Division Bench. On the other hand Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra stated that he may also be given one week's time to do the needful in terms of order dated June 15, 2012. Upon this Division Bench issued directions to the Sr. AAG regarding fresh latest status report.
