Sikhs in J&K protest against US Gurudwara shooting | | | early times report JAMMU, Aug 6: The Sikh community in Jammu today staged a protest against the attack in a Gurudwara in the US and sought adequate security for Sikhs and their religious institutions there. The protesters, led by Sujaan Singh, secretary of the Nanak Nagar Gurdawara Prabandhak Board, raised slogans and sought a thorough probe into the incident, apart from enhanced security for the Sikh community in the US. "We condemn this cowardly act in a place of worship and demand a probe into the incident", Singh said. Meanwhile, some protesters also blocked the Jammu-Pathankot highway in Digiana area of the district, but traffic was restored within a couple of hours, police said. Six people were killed and several others injured after a gunman opened fire in a Gurudwara in Wisconsin in the US during Sunday morning prayers.
