State Secretary of CPIM and MLA Mr. M. Y. Tarigami paid glowing tributes to former Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Devi Dass Thakur in Legislative Assembly today.
Participating in the obituary reference moved by Speaker Legislative Assembly Mr. Tara Chand, Mr. Tarigami described late Thakur as a politician of distinct personality. He said he had the single-minded devotion of service to people of the state and he served the state with all his capabilities.
Expressing grief over the demise of the legal luminary Mr. Tarigami said in his death the state has suffered an irreparable loss which he said cannot be described in words. He said the best way to pay tributes to the late leader would be to work in same spirit of single mindedness, as was the specialty of Mr. Thakur
He conveyed his sympathies with the bereaved family of D. D. Thakur.
