| Woman delivers baby in vehicle after being refused by doctor | | |

Srinagar, Aug 8 : A woman was forced to deliver her baby in a vehicle after she was refused admission by a doctor in a government hospital in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal. The Block Medical Officer (BMO) has ordered an inquiry into the incident and assured that the guilty, if proved, would be punished. According to reports, Amreen complained of labour pain in the morning. She was immediately rushed to District hospital at Ganderbal, about 12 km from her house. But the gynecologist in the hospital refused to admit her saying she still was days away from her delivery. The family then hired a vehicle from hospital to house, official sources said. But on way she gave birth to a child. The BMO has ordered an inquiry and assured action against the doctor |
