| Senior NIA officers rush to Kishtwar | | Amir Kamal killing aftermath | | Asif Iqbal Naik
kishtwar, Aug 8: Two days after the killing of Amir Ali Kamal, accused in last year September 7 blast outside Delhi High Court, the surrender militant cum police source Sajjad Ahmed Mir alias Rizwan guided Doda police and 10 RR to various Hizb hideouts in Kishtwar district including in Nagsini area and also in Chatroo area.
During an interrogation with Doda police and 10 RR, Rizwan disclosed the information about various safe hideouts used by HM commander Jahangir Saroori, Chota Hafiz and other militants in Kishtwar district. Rizwan reportedly took the Doda police to Fambar area of Chatroo tehsil bordering neighboring district Anantnag of South Kashmir. He also took them to lidri area of Nagsini block, the area which is considered as safe haven for one of the longest surviving HM commander Jahangir Saroori, who is active in Kishtwar and Anantnag belt since last 22 years. Saroori is supreme commander of HM and wanted in many cases by the Jammu and Kashmir Police including killing of security forces.
Doda police with the help of Rizwan is trying to bust the hideouts used by Saroori and his associate and are hoping that Rizwan will lead them to recovery of some arms and ammunition which ultimately weaks the HM outfit and is presently facing the shortage of arms and ammunition. Doda police also quizzed Rizwan about whereabouts of Junaid Akram Malik, Saleem alias Shamsher Kanna and Chota Hafiz. On the basis of the inputs given by Rizwan, Doda police and 10 RR is expected to launch a massive search operation in forest of Marwah and Dachhan. After the recent development, Kishtwar police keeps himself out of bound from the activities and search operation launched by the Doda police and 10 RR in Kishtwar district on behest of the senior police officers of Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile senior NIA officials of the rank of Superintendent of Police arrived at Kishtwar this afternoon for questioning of HM militant Rizwan in connection with Delhi High Court blast case. The sources said, though Doda police gives access to 4 member NIA team to Rizwan for questioning yesterday, but unconfirmed reports said that NIA wants to shift Sajjad Hussain Mir alias Rizwan to Delhi for questioning and cross examining with interrogation report of Dr. Waseem Akram Malik and Amir Abbas Dev present in NIA custody.
The sources said that Doda police is in no mood to handover the custody of Rizwan to NIA till they get assured that they will not require the custody of Rizwan anymore. It is worthwhile to mention that Rizwan who played an important role in killing of Amir Ali Kamal and his associate Shafi Hajam is a close associate of Chota Hafiz, prime accused in Delhi High Court blast and wanted by NIA who had already announced Rs. 10 lakh cash reward on head of Chota Hafiz. NIA has reportedly offered cash reward to Rizwan in addition to already announced cash reward in case Rizwan lead NIA to arrest of Chota Hafiz and Junaid Akram Malik. |
