Lt.Colonel, daughter charred in Fire, 2 labourers killed in explosion

Srinagar, February 05
while as one Lt.Colonel of Army and his nine old daughter were charred to death in a fire, two labourers died in a mysterious explosion while working in a workshop, in two separate incidents in Leh.
Fire broke out in the residential huts of Army Alfa Mess at Leh. Residential hut of Lt.Colonel R.K Chaudhary of 14 Corps was also engulfed by the fire, in which he alongwith his nine years old daughter Anoushika were charred to death. However, wife and younger daughter of the deceased were rescued from the fire. Police is ascertaining the reason behind the cause of fire and proceedings U/S 174 CrPC have been initiated.
Two labourers were killed in a mysterious explosion, when they were fiddling with refuse in a workshop in Leh. The deceased have been identified as Ghulam Mohammed Malik s/o Abdul Aziz R/O Chuchkut and Brij Sunwar of Nepal. Case has been registered in this regard.

Dead body found in Bandipora, child abandoned in Kulgam, 9 injured in accidents
Srinagar, February 05: While as nine persons have been injured in different traffic accidents, Police has found a newborn abandoned child in Kulgam and dead body of a man in Bandipora.
Dead body of one Abdul Jabbar Lone, 45, s/o Abdul Ahad R/O Ayatmullah Bandipora was recovered from Kulhama Nursery Bandipora, under suspicious circumstances. The deceased was reportedly unsound however, Police has initiated the proceedings U/S 174 CrPC.
Kulgam Police has recovered one male newborn baby, abandoned by someone from a brick kiln at village Larm in Kulgam. Police has registered a case in this regard.
One passenger bus bearing Regt No: Jk01E/1110 met with an accident at Lassipora Sogam, under the jurisdiction of P/S Sogam, in frontier district of Kupwara. Eight passengers were injured in the accidents who have been hospitalized. Police has registered a case in this regard.
One unidentified scooterist hit and injured one pedestrian namely Fazan Nazir s/o Nazir Ahmed R/O Gundi Maqsood, near his residence, under the jurisdiction of P/S Chadoora. Injured has been hospitalized and case has been registered in this regard.
