TTDF demands probe into audacity of PMGSY's subordinate officers | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 10: Tehsil Thathri Development Front (TTDF) has expressed concern over the alleged high handedness and audacity of a few individuals of Jamala and Gallu along with some survey official of PMGSY who brazenly challenge the authority of SDM Bhaderwah regarding the survey of Kahara-Jai road. Addressing a press conference today, President TTDF Kuldeep Kumar Rao sought Chief Secretary's intervention into disobeying of higher authorities' order by PMGSY officials and demanded a probe into their alleged role of instigating people of the area. Rao alleged that an inspection team was constituted consisting of SDM, Bhaderwah, DFO Bhaderwah and X En R&B Division Bhaderwah & X En PMGSY Thathri to look into grievances of the public of the area, however, some locals in connivance with lower staff of PMGSY are not following the instructions. He said that the SDM, Bhaderwah had instructed the R&B and PMGSY engineers to conduct a fresh survey of the 1987 survey plan and also the newly suggested by PMGSY department & R&B Division Bhaderwah so that facts of both the surveys could be compared i.e which involves lesser damage to cultivable land, lesser damage to forest, smaller length of road and larger coverage of population. Accordingly, the survey was started by PMGSY engineers from Halaran village according to the survey of 1987 by Division Bhaderwah and that of the survey plan of R&B Division Gandoh but some individuals of Jamala and Gallu resorted to heavy stone pelting on the survey team who had to stop their work for the safety of their lives. Rao appealed to Chief Minister and Chief Secretary to take cognizance of this offence and send a new reliable survey team as it is suspected that some officials of PMGSY survey team are also involved in this ugly display of stone pelting. |
