Jammu, Aug 12: Everybody dreams of having a unique wedding, if you were foreigner, this would surely be one of the most unique of all when you marry in Dogra style.
And in this unique incident a French-based businessman tied the nuptial knot with a local girl as per Dogra rituals in this winter capital of the state. Believe it or not a French business entrepreneur has come to Jammu the winter capital of state with a special mission - that is, to tie the nuptial knots.
The French businessman married a Jammu based girl presently settled in London with full fledged Dogra traditions here on last evening and entered into their marital life.
Both the groom and the bride were dressed in Dogra traditional attire.
The marriage ceremony function was organized at one of the local hotels wherein French entrepreneur offered 'Mangal Sutara' and 'Sindoor' to the girl and accepted her as better half in presence of Hindu priests as per traditional rituals.
Limited guests were invited the marriage function, but the uniqueness of the occasion succeeded in making a thorough imprint on the minds those who attended the marriage.
"The groom has immense interest and love in rich cultural heritage for India attracted him to get married in Jammu, which has rich Dogra culture, said one among the family member further adding, "if all goes according to plans as per groom he (groom) also desired to visit Vaishno Devi Shrine barefooted after marriage. |
