JKNPP seeks dismissal of NC-led Govt
8/13/2012 9:13:55 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 13: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has demanded immediate dismissal of National Conference (NC) government to ensure return of peace and rule of law in the state.
This was stated by Chairman, National Panthers Party and Member, National Integration Council Prof. Bhim Singh, while addressing a media conference in Srinagar.
He urged Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh to demonstrate courage by granting General Amnesty to all the Kashmiri prisoners detained, under-trial or convicted in militancy related offences in the state.
Prof. Bhim Singh told the media that people of J&K are neither against the Indian Army nor against India.
The people of J&K are against the illegal operation done against the people of J&K at the behest of Govt. of J&K. Prof. Bhim Singh told the media that democracy should be restored in the state and that is only possible if fresh elections are held for the Assembly with wider participation of all the political sections of the society including the Hurriyat Conference and the angry Kashmiri leaders.
Prof. Bhim Singh congratulated the Muslim fraternity in the Valley for demonstrating their highly valuable Kashmiri traditions in welcoming the pilgrims to Shri Amarnath Shrine recently.
NPP Chief said that Kashmiris deserve a salaam everybody in the country for making Amarnath Yatra a grand success.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that it is a matter of shame that J&K Constitution has deliberately omitted the chapter on fundamental rights in J&K Constitution.
The spirit and strength of Article 21 of the Constitution of India has enabled him to fight for the Human Rights of the Kashmiris, Pakistanis, residents of POK and others in the Supreme Court and he was happy that hundreds of prisoners from Kashmir and Pakistan have been released by the Supreme Court of India.
He told autonomy seekers to introduce Article 21 of the Constitution of India in J&K Constitution first and then talk of autonomy.
