| PDD Daily Wagers Union demands regularization of services | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 13: All J&K PDD Daily Wagers Union convened its general body meeting here today to discuss the various issues concerning to the employees.
The meeting, which was chaired by State General Secretary of the Union Kulbushan Singh, deliberated in detail the common concern relating to regularization of Daily wagers.
While addressing the meeting the speakers including Farooq Ahmed, Arjun Singh, Rajni Sharma, Raj Paul, Aslam , Sharat Singh, Sri Raj, Satish Padha, Sajad Ahmed and Kulbir Singh viewed seriously the approach of Government for ignoring the agreed demands of the daily wagers of PDD particularly their regularization of services and drawl of wages on monthly basis.
Kulbir Singh lambasted the Government for its total failure in meeting up the demands of Daily wagers which however have been agreed by Chief Minister and his Advisors besides Cabinet colleagues.
Now, again six months have lapsed since the assurance for settlement of demands was made, however, nothing has been done till date by the Government.
The meeting resolved that incase the Govt. does not take steps forward with regard to the regularization of daily wagers upto August 20, the Union shall again resort to agitation from t August 21. |
