CB Jammu produces challan against 12 fraudsters for duping depositors

JAMMU, Aug 13: Crime Branch (CB) Jammu today have produced challan against twelve persons for duping the innocent depositors of a whooping amount Rs Rs. 1,25,05,563/-.
Spokesperson of Crime Branch said, "Crime branch investigating the case of alleged duping of innocent people in Jammu and its around produced challan against the accused identified namely as Jarnail Singh Hanjra S/o H.S. Hanjra R/o Chandigarh; Ramesh Kumar Sharma S/o Pollu Ram R/o Gagwal Hiranagar at present H.No.69 Apna Vihar Kunjwani, Jammu ; Balkrishan Bhat S/o Shridhar Bhat R/o Nehru Market, Jammu; Javed Iqbal Magrey S/o Ab Majid Magrey R/o Batote; Sanjay Khajuria S/o Gori Chand Khajuria R/o Sarwal Jammu; Saleem Raza S/o Abdul Qyoom Ganai R/o Bhaderwah A/P Sultanpura Janipur, Jammu; Bashir Ahmed Manhas S/o Mohd Saleem Khan R/o Surankote, Poonch, A/P Karan Nagar Jammu; Nazir Ahmed Bhat S/o Gh Qadir Bhat R/o Shah Hamdan Colony, Zakoora, Srinagar; Ravinder Pandita S/o Triloki Nath Pandita R/o Channi Himmat Jammu; Prabhakaran Plathue S/o S.N. Plathue 38 A, Chandigarh (Expired); Varinder Kumar Kansal S/o Jagdish Chander Kansal R/o Sector 44-C, Chandigarh (expired) and G.M. Bhat S/o Ali Mohd. Bhat R/o Dayalgam Anantnag (expired).
Following a complaint from one Rahul Salaria S/o K.D. Salaria R/o Indira Vihar Old Janipur, Jammu wherein he alleged that Non Banking Finance Companies under the name and style M/s Endowment Plantation Ltd., M/s United Fiscal Corporation Ltd., M/s Occean Agro Farms Ltd and M/s Agrotek (India) Ltd under the had launched different schemes to lure the public to deposit their hard earned money and depositors were deceived by these NBFCs, spokesperson said.
A case was registered and during course of investigation record pertaining to NBFC Ocean Agrotek office at KC Plaza, Jammu and etc were sealed/seized. The liabilities on the basis of complaints received in the instant case were worked out to the tune of Rs. 1,25,05,563/-. Next date of hearing in the case has been fixed on August 28, 2012.
