Theft case worked out within hours | 2 arrested, stolen cash recovered | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 17: Jammu Police in its concerted drive against thefts and burglaries has succeeded in solving a theft case within hours of its execution by arresting the two thieves and recovering the entire stolen amount. Today, one Ashok Aggarwal son of Jugal Kishore of 84 New Plot, Jammu running Aggarwal Cement and Iron Store in New Plot area reported at Police Post Sarwal that some unknown thieves have stolen cash worth Rs 84000 from the drawers of his table in the office by using duplicate keys. Upon this a case FIR No.82/2012 u/s 380 RPC registered at P/S Bakshi Nagar and investigation started. During the course of investigation Police team headed by SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Naresh Sharma and assisted by I/C P/P Sarwal Sub Inspector Nazir Ahmed under the supervision of SDPO City West and SP City North swung into action and after developing leads in to the case through CCTV footage of the camera installed in the office of the complainant, succeeded in arresting the main thief initially and subsequently upon his questioning arrested his associate. With the arrests of the accused entire amount that was stolen has also been recovered. Names of the thieves have been kept secret and further investigation is going on. |
