Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 17: Ongoing membership drive of BJP received a shot in the arm when over one hundred youth hailing from different parts of Jammu joined BJYM under the leadership of Arjun Sharma under its "Yuva Jodo Abhiyaan" at a function held at party headquarters on Friday.
They were welcomed into the party-fold by BJYM State President Munish Sharma, Jammu District President Rajesh Gupta and other leaders of the Morcha. Welcoming the new entrants, Munish Sharma said that the Youth in the state are totally demoralized due to lack of avenues of livelihood and absence of youth policy. He said that the situation has deteriorated to such an extent that over six lakh educated youth are unemployed and
the number is going up with each passing day.
Not withstanding the coalition government's self congratulatory claims of working for the welfare of youth, Munish Sharma said that the actual ground realities reveal a totally different and tragic situation in respect of the youth. Hence, there is massive resentment among the youth against the government. BJYM has received overwhelming response from the youth in its "Yuva Jodo Abhiyaan" during the party's membership drive.
