| PDP hoists tricolor at Valmiki Chowk | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 17: To celebrate the 66th Independence day, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) organized a flag hoisting ceremony at Valmiki Chowk.Capt Anil Gour, President Ex-Serviceman Wing was the Chief Guest while R S Billowria, Zone President presided. The other leaders who were present on the occasion include Suresh Sharma, President JKPDTU; Daljeet Singh Dicky, District Vice President, Sham Singh, President Valmiki Samaj, Baba Kuk Ram, Kashmiro Devi Zone Secretary and Garu Bhatti, President Adhi Dharam Samaj. The recitation of the National Anthem was done by the Class III School Children of the colony. In his address, Capt Anil Gour exhorted the gathering to follow the ideals of the founders of the nation and unite together to rid our society of the evil of corruption and non-performance.
Later sweets, fruits and other eatables were distributed amongst the gathered public. |
