Separatists non-serious hypocrites but what about leadership of NC? | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 17: National Conference (NC) has begun trumpeting itself as the greatest proponent of peace and tranquility in Jammu and Kashmir. This runs contrary to their murky past especially the period from 1985 to 1989. NC has lambasted separatist leaders for their self-indulgent and juvenile statements. But failed to ask questions about the statements of its leaders. They too speak like ignorant people, oblivious of the things happening around. National Conference statement quoted the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as saying that "Let us achieve through dialogue what you could not achieve with guns-a prosperous Jammu and Kashmir. Let you come forward and talk for achieving a breakthrough on table which gun could not deliver." "Chief Minister Omar Abdullah never invited them but advised them that for the prosperity and progress of the state they (separatists) should come forward and talk as it is the only way forward for peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue", " By issuing irrelevant statement proves that they probably have not read the statement clearly", it added. "By their non-seriousness and childish remarks they have again proved that they only want to score points over the sufferings of the people" it added. "This not only proves that they are scared to come on the negotiating table but also proves that they have no love left for the people and want the pot boiling, forgetting that it might endanger the state's survival", added the statement. "With such statements they are proving beyond doubt that they don't want a solution and their non-seriousness, hypocrisy is endangering the state's survival" the statement added. "It is surprising to hear sermons from Ex-Lawmakers who swore by the constitution of India, preferred all the luxuries then, got their families suitably accommodated, made riches, and are now doing the same in a new avatar", these people now have the audacity to call anyone puppet", "They are the real puppets; everyone knows about their dual loyalties" the statement read. The National Conference statement read "It's still time for them (separatists) to come forward and help the state to prosper; otherwise these self assumed Messiahs of Kashmir will be rendered irrelevant soon". Reiterating the stand of the party the statement read "Dialogue is the only way out and anyone who wants the people of Kashmir to live in peace with dignity, they should enter into talks with the Centre, nothing can be achieved by resorting to violence, stone pelting, killing people or by burning our assets". "When these people can talk to the representatives of India's largest communal party the BJP and even discuss and plot how to get their yes man to hold the seat of power, I fail to understand what stops them from talking to people who can and will find out a solution to this issue. It proves their non-seriousness and their hypocrisy," the statement concluded.
